Access

At St. George’s we want church to be as welcoming and as accessible as it can possibly be.

We have step-free access from Heyworth Street, through the churchyard and into the building, so wheelchairs and pushchairs can access through the main doors (though please mind the gulleys in the path). You’re welcome to sit anywhere you want – if it would help you for us to move a pew or provide a chair we would be happy to do so; please just ask.

We have a hearing induction loop; to use it please set your hearing aid to the appropriate setting.

At our 9:00am services we use printed service sheets. Large print copies are also available.

At our 11:00am services we project the words onto the screen. If you prefer to use a paper copy, they are available at the back of church and are in large print. Please feel free to ask if you require a specific font or size of type.

We are sorry that our toilets are not currently accessible for all wheelchair users. We hope to refurbish them soon.

If you have any access needs or require any additional assistance then please do contact a member of the clergy or one of the church wardens or welcomers. We will do all that we can to help.

If you have a child who requires any assistance to access Tots’ Church, Kids’ Church or Youth Church, please let us know and we will do all that we can to help.
