Weddings, Baptisms & Funerals

Weddings, Baptisms & Funerals

Weddings, baptisms & funerals are all important events which we are privileged to be involved with.

If you would like to get married at St. George’s, please contact us. We would be delighted to hear from you & to help you to plan your wedding. Usually in order to get married at St. George’s you need to either live within the parish or be on the electoral roll by regularly attending church. However there are other ‘qualifying connections’ (for example if you were baptised here, or if your parents were married here), so do get in touch if you’re not sure.

If you would like to have a baptism at St. George’s, please contact us.
Baptisms usually take place on the 4th Sunday of the month, at 11am (but contact us for definite dates).
There is no charge for a baptism. We ask you to come to a preparation session, as well as coming to church the 3 Sundays before the baptism service.

Funeral services are arranged through the funeral director – please contact them in the first instance. They will then contact us to make the arrangements, and the minister will get in touch with you once the date has been confirmed.

Virtually all the church records are held in the Liverpool Record Office at Liverpool Central Library. The only records we do hold information on are memorials in the church and churchyard and the mot recent baptisms, marriages and burials. Please contact us if you have any queries and we will do our best to help you.
