Our Story

WELCOME

Welcome to St George’s Church, whether you’re a long-standing member or part-time attender, whether you’re born and bred in Everton or are new to area, whether you’re 9 days or 90 years old, whether you consider yourself a Christian or are still searching… whoever you are you are welcome!

St George’s is a church with long history in a diverse and ever-changing community.  Today’s congregation reflects that diversity in terms of age, background and nationality.  Everyone has a different story as to how they ended up here and we love to see new people join in and share with us as we try to live out our vision of Sharing Welcome, Sharing Love, Sharing Worship.

St George’s Everton takes its duty and obligation to protect all extremely seriously. We have adopted the national Church of England’s robust procedures and guidelines. You can find out more about the national policies and procedures at www.churchofengland.org/safeguarding.  If you have any safeguarding concerns or issues on a safeguarding matter then you can find useful contact information at http://www.liverpool.anglican.org/safeguarding.

COVID-19 Notice

The Church continues to be alive and active, but our buildings must close

We are seeing a huge increase in the number of people falling sick with COVID-19. We must distance ourselves from one another and prevent the spread of infection in order to save lives.

Therefore, as well as public worship being suspended, this and all church buildings in the Church of England are now closed.

Our worship of God and our care for each other continue but cannot be done in this building.  This website contains details of how to join others online for prayer, worship, study, and community life.  The vicar of this church can be  contacted in an emergency by telephoning 0151 263 6005  or emailing rev.adam.maynard@gmail.com

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength . . . Love your neighbour as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.”

To protect the vulnerable amongst us, please do not leave your home except for essential trips.
